Community

The Longburn Group of companies supports the primary schools in our nearby district. By providing washed or crushed aggregate, readymix concrete and civil construction equipment for fundraising Longburn Industries, Longburn Ready Mix and Longburn Shingle is contributing to the schools that educate our local children.

In 2013, Longburn Industries, Longburn Ready Mix and Longburn Shingle provided support to the following local schools either directly with their projects or fundraising.

At Newbury School, Longburn Shingle donated over 50m3 of crushed base-course for the construction of the new swimming pool.

At Kairanga School, Opiki School, Bainesse School and St Peters College 9in support of 1st XI Soccer, Longburn Shingle donated crushed or washed aggregate to auction or raffle during fundraising projects.

Longburn Primary School required some bedding material to place a donated boat for the children to play on so Longburn Shingle provided the bedding aggregate and Longburn Industries transported the product so "Rusty the Boat" could be placed permanently in a safe position.
